Annealing Brass


Easy way to anneal brass for either conversion or to soften old brittle brass. It’s easy to do but you can’t let the brass get too hot. Of you do it’ll be too soft and will cause structural failure, usually in the shoulder. If you heat the brass too far down the body of the sae you’ll ruin the case all together.

Annealing brass is a simple way to extend the life of your brass. After 5-6 firings your brass will start to become brittle. This is where it can crack or split. If you follow some simple guidelines you can do this quickly and easily.
